Saif Ali Khan is a Bollywood actor. He is also the 10th Nawab of the (former) princely state of Pataudi(current day Bhopal). Though it carries no legal standing, it carries a lot of prestige. The brightest spot in his acting career came when he won the the National Film award for the best actor for his role in the 2004 movie, Hum Tum. His popularity grew with subsequent films. Winner of the 2010 Padma Shri from the Government of India, he has recently been in headlines for his marriage with high-profile actress and sweetheart from 5 years, Kareena Kapoor.
Saif, being the 10th Nawab of Pataudi, has inherited his father's palace (which is today a hotel), ancestral home, Trust and riches. The princely endowments are valued at an estimated 1,000 crores ($26 million). That apart, Saif Ali Khan's filmography extends to 55 titles which is mighty impressive. Among these too, for about 10 of them, he has been nominated for various awards. As a producer, his list of titles are four which includes a nomination for the best film, Love Aaj Kal with which the his production house debuted. Saif has also managed dozens of advertisements contracts including those for Lays, Asian Paints, Ponds, OCM and Amul.
After his marriage to Kareena Kapoor, the actor has reportedly purchased a huge flat on the 10th floor of the Fortune Heights building in Bandra, Mumbai. He is a big car-lover and owns a fleet in his garage - Land Cruiser, Lexus 470, Maruti esteem, Ambassador, BMW 7 series, Mercedes Benz, Mustang and a white Range Rover! He also seems to have shooting - with a camera and a gun- as his hobbies. He also vacations a lot and has been seen in London, Paris, and recently, in Gstaad, Switzerland. He has even toured the world via the Temptations 2004 tour and the Heat 2006 tour. His charity work includes his performance at HELP! Telethon Concert to raise funds for earthquake victims in India. He won the best male debut award forAshiq Awara in 1993 and had reasonable success through Imtihaan and Hum Sath Sath Hain. However, he was first seriously noticed via his role in the Farhan Akthar urban superhit, Dil Chahta Hain. His role in Kal Ho Na Ho won him the best supporting actor award before he won complete solo glory in the 2004 comedy, Hum Tum. That marked his start of work with Yash Raj Films, one of the major Bollywood production houses. It also marked the end of his marriage with Amrita.
